The St. Rose Conference donated food from our annual 40 Cans for 40 Days of Lent food drive to Evergreen Manor and we purchased Easter Candy for the children at the Manor.

ST. ROSE OF LIMA CONTINUES WITH ITS HOMELESS SUPPORT PROGRAM
The St. Rose of Lima St Vincent de Paul Conference collected hooded sweatshirts for use by Family Services in their homeless/needy programs. Through the month of November Parish members from St. Rose, St. Patrick, and St. Thomas More donated slightly worn and new hooded sweatshirts towards this worthy cause. A total of 266 sweatshirts, along with 17 coats and 6 hats, were delivered to Family Services by Conference members. Dan Weaver, St. Rose Conference president, said, “The members of the St. Rose of Lima SVDP Conference would like to say thank you to all the parish members who donated to this noble cause. When we give to the poor, God indeed pours his love, peace, and joy into our hearts, into our lives and into the hearts of those who are poor. God Bless You All!” The St. Rose of Lima Conference collected much-needed items for use by Family Services in their homeless programs. Through the month of August Parish members donated items, such as toilet paper, tissues, hand soap, soap or shower gel, laundry detergent, deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. Very generous donations from St. Rose, St. Patrick, and St. Thomas More were delivered to Family Services by the Conference for use at their Homeless Shelter. The members of the St. Rose of Lima SVDP Conference would like say thank you to all who donated to this noble cause. This year a total of 223 sweatshirts, along with a few gloves, hats, and winter pants were collected for distribution to those who need them. The members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society would like to say thank you to all who donated to this noble cause. Here are some photos of the Thanksgiving Food Drive delivery to Evergreen Manor and Family Services. Our Conference also delivered donations from Kooman & Associates to the SVDP Food Bank.
We estimate the value of the food collected to be more than $1,500. Thank you to all those who contributed to this endeavor. God Bless You! Each year during the July/August timeframe, our Conference requests that parishioners donate items such as paper goods, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, shampoo, etc. for the homeless. This year we collected 9 large boxes of toiletry items. All donations go to Family Services, the organization that oversees the local homeless shelter. Thank you to all who donated!
