Members of the St. Rose SVDP Conference volunteered at the Good Friday luncheon at St. Mark’s parish in Altoona. They helped to set up for the luncheon, cook and serve the food, and clean up after the meal was over. A total of 115 meals were served to those in need. As always we had more food than we needed and we delivered what was left to the Altoona Homeless Shelter run by Family Services.

Every year on Black Friday it is our tradition to help with a luncheon for local people in need of a hot meal, because the St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen in Altoona run by Sister Paula is normally closed that day. Our volunteers served 101 meals to the needy.
Every August it is our tradition to help with the end-of-summer children's picnic held at Evergreen Manor. Food and volunteers were supplied by our Conference on Friday, August 15.
